LED masker

Everything looks better in the right light.

Before my facelift, I wanted to bring my skin to my surgeon in the best possible condition for him to work with. For me, preparation is just as important as the procedure itself. I also wanted to support and optimize my recovery as much as possible. Of course, I discussed this with my surgeon beforehand.

I chose the Maysama mask. It is the only mask on the market that uses pulsed light—something that is very important to me. I have been working with LED light for almost 29 years, both for myself and for treating injuries in my animals, and I know how essential pulsing can be for optimal cellular stimulation.

In addition, this mask has a power density (irradiance) of 40–45 mW/cm². Many commonly used masks only deliver 20–30 mW/cm². While those can certainly contribute to skin improvement, they often require longer sessions to reach an effective dose. Maysama falls within the so-called sweet spot of 35–50 mW/cm², which is recommended by experts for optimal collagen stimulation and anti-aging. Thanks to this power and the pulsed light, you only need to use the mask for 6 minutes per day instead of 20 minutes with other masks.

For me, it was a no-brainer. I was willing to invest significantly in a facelift, so it makes sense to me to maintain those results as well as possible. I use both the face mask and the chin-to-chest mask (the Head2Heart combo), together with Maysama’s Green Rooibos Pressed Serum, 5 times a week for 6 minutes in the morning after showering.

My skin is truly in top condition.
